Alongside the Pembrokeshire coast and the disquietingly beautiful countryside of South West Wales there are residents determined to preserve and rescue their heritage through creative ways.

From the property owner determined to turn her Georgian house into a literary retreat that was once residence and inspiration for author Dylan Thomas to the pub at the centre of a small community deep in the valley run by the same family -unchanged- for 180 years, the textile designer and alpaca farmer connecting product to source without leaving her land, and the seaweed forager and cook who wants to put the local ingredient back on the menu.

Well aware of the importance of their past, these locals are using innovation to keep traditions alive except when resisting change is the strategy in place. Through a series of photostories and interviews we uncover the ways in which cherished heritage is introduced to new generations.
